Since the recent spread of Covid-19, we are able to see many civilians wearing gloves while exercising their daily dealings. So what can people do to keep safe? Are there practical steps you can take to reduce the risk of contracting the illness like wearing a face mask or latex gloves? Did you know that glove application is not recommended by the Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia? This is because it is not helpful in the reduction of Covid-19 spread. According to the Medical Health Clinic Specialist in Seremban, Dr. Nor Izran Hanim Abdul Samad said when a person wore a glove can pose a ' false impression ' to the reapplication when touching any surface.

Based on ' FB Live @ KKM Khas Kenali Covid-19', Dr. Nor Izram Hanim Abdul Samad said; "For example, if we touch a dust or oily surface, we will continue to wash hands but when one is wearing gloves and is touched on a dust or oily surface then the actual touch cannot be felt. This will give ' a false impression ' that we feel that we are safe but perhaps unconsciously we move impurities or germs somewhere else like shirts and skin without we notice. "

Apart from that, according to the Health Clinic Family Physician in Puchong Batu 14, Dr. Izwan Effendi Ismail said, the application of the gloves should be given priority to all future personnel, especially the Ministry of Health that involved in addressing the outbreak of the disease.

He also said the public should regularly wash the hands and follow the guidelines recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), using SOAP and wash at least 20 seconds as it is an effective measure in eliminating germs or by using a hand sanitizer.

At the same moment, Dr Izwan Effendi Ismail said that the virus was not out of sweat, but the virus will come out through the drip of the mucosa, literally from the nose and mouth alone.
